GhettoSongBird Jams at The Whisky A Go-Go

February 28, 2013 – The Whisky A Go-Go – Hollywood, CA

Eyewitnessed by Christie Love – GhettoSongBird started her set like a phoenix rising out of the ashes. Her vocal style has flavors of Grace Slick so I was thrilled when she performed “Somebody To Love”. The rhythm section kept the groove HOT while GhettoSongBird did her thing. They have a very original sound and every now and then I could hear the influences of great music of the past such as Spirit, Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk, and Mother’s Finest. I was loving it, she has fantastic stage presence and everyone at The Whisky was very entertained. The one problem was that that 30 minute set was over far too soon and I can’t wait to catch this band again. My ears want more!!!
